4)baby comes out of her house all dressed up in a pink gauze costume with pick dancing shoes and a pink pocket book. they said she was small and clean and cute.

6)bubber becomes quiet and a loner. he stops jolking around with people. "he didn't speak much to any person and nothing seemd to bother him" people stopt calling him bubber and started refering to him with his real name, george. he seemd like a person much older and nobody knew what was on his mind.

I am Jake

now i know people say that i drink too much and i know i do get to rambalin about what might be goin on in this here brain of mine but i tell you i am a bright man and when i see somethin wrong goin on i do get my two bits in about it. ya see there is alot in this world that i just dont agree with, like for example i dont get this here thing about negro's not bein alowed to go certain places. this one time i tried bringin this colord fellow into a bar where i was residing at the time and lots of people had a fuss about it. don't they breath the same air we breath? don't they enjoy the same things as white folk enjoy? anit they got mroals just as we do? well aparently there are people out there that think they dont or cant and they feel that negro's are beneath us. le'me tell you that is a bunch of grade A bullshit. and dont get me started on the problems we have in the economy, that realy tick's me off. people worken there damb behinds off just to make enougth to be broke. and the people that own the buisness's get'n rich off of these here people, its sick i tell ya sick! children runnin the streets all scrawny and warein clothes that all torn up, it just aint right. maby if i could stop all this drinken and get me some schoolin i might be able to make a differance in this world, but untill then ima just be your every day drunk.

Jungle fever,Jake,Bernstien

Jake has his views on race but he dosent care to get into any controversy about it. Bernstien has his views on race and he is alwase striving to get into an argument about it because that is sometimes the only way to make any changes. in Spike Lee's movie he protrays a picture of what racism was like at the time the movie was made, but things are very similar today to what was protraid in the movie. if i may bring some of my own expirience into my point of view. in the house i live in my family rents out the first floor to a racialy mixed couple. the man is black and the woman is white. today it dosent even register that they are a mixed couple, i see them and that is all, i like both of them and i dont see the world threw any kind of "collored" glasses. i was born in 1986 and i can remember being a chiled maby age 6 or 7 and i went to a wedding of friends of my parents. i saw the groom standing at the altar and i was watching the bride walk down the isle. when she stood next to the groom and he unvaild her to kiss her i was verry confused because the bride was black. i wasent racist but it just dident register to me that a black woman could have a relationship with a white man or vice versa. no one put that thought into my head it was just there because i had never seen a mixed couple befor. because a small percentage of relationships are mixed, it is very possible for someone to go there entire chiledhood without seeing a mixed couple and they can develop views by themselvs that can be racist. as there are more comercials and movies and tv shows that protray mixed copuples and dont make any kind of fuss about it, there will be less people growing up with the idea that it is wrong, i feel as if i kinda went off on a rant here but i guess i am trying to make a point. i believ that the movie jungle fever acuratly protrays the views of many populations in the united states and all over the world. even tho someone can grow up and never hear a racest coment in there life they can still develop racist views.
